Provided that you have given your flight details to the CMJA well in advance and at the latest by 18 September 2017, the Local Organising Committee will arrange for your transport to/from the Official Hotels being used.
PASSPORT AND VISA
PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU PROVIDE THE CMJA WITH THE EXACT INFORMATION AS SHOWN ON YOUR PASSPORT.
The CMJA cannot take responsibility for errors.
All visitors require a passport which is valid for at least 6 months. Those arriving by plane are required to have an onward plane ticket. The Tanzanian Immigration Service has agreed to issue visas on arrival for Commonwealth citizens and waiver the visa fee (except Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Sierra Leone who will require a referral visa- see: http://www.immigration.go.tz/module1.php?id=14 for further details) provided you have registered and paid for the Conference in advance. Please ensure that your registration form includes your title, full name (as it appears on your passport) and flight arrival/departure details so that we can pass on accurate details. The letter of invitation from the CMJA and from the Judiciary of Tanzania will only be supplied to you on payment of your registration fee.
You will also require transit visas if you are travelling through a third country to Tanzania. Please ensure that you have all relevant transit visas before departing and please apply for these visas in plenty of time. The CMJA cannot provide any assistance with transit visas to/from Tanzania.
LETTER OF INVITATION
Letters of invitation will ONLY be issued after payment is received IN FULL from registered participants. Please note that such an invitation is intended to help potential participants raise travel funds or obtain a visa. It is not a commitment on the part of the conference or the CMJA to provide financial support or a guarantee that the host nation will issue the necessary visa.
DIETARY REQUIREMENTS AND SPECIAL NEEDS
Please advise the organisers of any special requirements on the registration form and note that some requirements may be subject to charges.
The Conference will be taking place at the Bank of Tanzania Conference Centre, 759 Azikiwe St, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Please note that the CMJA does not permit the use of the Conference venue for private meetings nor announcements of such meetings at the Conference venue without prior authority from the CMJA Secretary Genera
CERTIFICATE OF ATTENDANCE
The certificates will be sent after the conference to all paid up CMJA Individual Members who participate. If you are interested in Individual Membership, please contact the CMJA.
During working sessions, dress code will be lounge suit. National dress/lounge suit is appropriate for evening functions including the Gala Dinner. During the Accompanying Guest programme and Day Out casual clothes are recommended.
The organisers will not assume responsibility for possible accidents or incidents at the conference or for travelling to/from the conference. Participants must obtain travel insurance (medical, personal and luggage) in their home countries prior to departure.
The currency of Tanzania is the Tanzanian Shilling. Payments for hotels will be charged in US$. Please check the rates on www.xe.com or with your bank. Banking hours are usually from 8.30 hrs to 16.00hrs. After hours ATM services are usually available 24/7.
TEMPERATURES DURING SEPTEMBER
Tanzania’s climate is equatorial; hot but pleasant for most of the year. The heat in Dar-Es-Salaam is tempered by the sea breezes on the coast. Temperatures at this time of year range from 19ºC to 28ºC.

PRE AND POST CONFERENCE TOURS

The CMJA will be producing a list of names of delegates, judicial position and countries for the Conference which will appear in the Delegates Area on the CMJA’s conference website: www.cmja.biz. However, in accordance with UK law, the CMJA will not share your personal details with any third parties other than people directly associated with the conference. Please advise us if you do not want to be included in this list.
Registrations will be allocated on a first come, first served basis and on the basis of receipt of fees. The organiser cannot assume responsibility for any visa refusals that lead to the cancellation of attendance. The organisers reserve the right to amend or cancel the event or amend the terms and condition of registration where deemed necessary. In the event of cancellation of the conference, a full refund of any registration fees less admin cost will be paid but the organisers will accept no further liability.
